About
Divisions
Administrative
The administration includes the Police Chief and a Lieutenant. Administration is responsible for the department's accreditation, departmental policy development, community relations details, training, and budgeting.
Records
The department employs a Police Clerk who is our citizens' initial point of contact. The clerk maintains departmental records, case files, and record management systems. Additionally, the Police Clerk processes court documents such as citations and crash reports. The clerk also provides fingerprinting services to the public and helps coordinate community-related events.
Uniformed Patrol
Our uniformed patrol is composed of Sergeants, Corporals, and full-time and part-time Police Officers who operate in shifts, resulting in 24-hour coverage, seven days a week. Officers patrol in marked police cruisers, on foot patrol, or patrolling on a bicycle. The primary responsibilities of patrol officers are to respond to dispatched calls for public service and traffic enforcement, conduct preliminary investigations, and maintain a positive relationship with the community. These officers also provide community services, such as vacation house checks, extra patrols, opening locked vehicles, well-being checks, and escorts.
Investigations
The primary function of the investigations division is to assist with follow-up investigations of serious criminal offenses. Due to the increased call volume, the department currently utilizes Detectives in the investigations division to conduct follow-up investigations. If you have any information to report about a crime, please contact the police department at 937.748.1267 or report a crime tip at crimetips@clearcreektownship.com
Community Policing
Clearcreek Township's policing efforts include selective traffic enforcement using speed monitor signs in reported problem areas throughout the township. The department also offers community-oriented programs such as Safety Town, child fingerprinting, and our National Night Out event.
The Clearcreek Township Police Department is a major partner with the Warren County Drug Task Force and the Warren County Tactical Response Unit. The most crucial part of effective law enforcement is communication between our community and officers. We encourage residents and businesses to become acquainted with our officers to strengthen their partnership with the community.
