Honoring Commitment and Service

Larry Carman joined the Clearcreek family as a part-time Firefighter/EMT. In 2008, he completed the requirements to become a Fire Safety Inspector and earned his Paramedic Certification the following year. In 2010, he became a certified Fire Protection Inspector for the State of Ohio. After five years of part-time work, Larry transitioned to a full-time position as a career firefighter. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2014 and, the following year, became a familiar face throughout the township as he took the lead for Fire Safety Services.
Larry has demonstrated his loyalty and dedication to the District numerous times throughout his career. In addition to his roles as a Firefighter/Paramedic and Fire Safety Inspector, he was always reliable for public education events and fireworks safety.
Larry and his wife, Vickie, raised their children in Springboro and plan to live in Florida when they are not exploring the country in their RV. In addition to his contributions to the Fire District, Larry served for 21 years in the Army, retiring as Sergeant First Class. He genuinely loves his community and country and has dedicated his career to service.
Today, Lieutenant Larry Carman begins his retirement after 20 years of service in Clearcreek Township and the City of Springboro. Thanks to his dedication and service, we will all carry a piece of Larry with us into the future; we are truly grateful for that. We all wish Larry the best as he embarks on this new chapter. Thank you for your service, Lieutenant Carman.
